Begun in the spring of 2006, USA Swimming now sponsors four Zone Select Camps with the aim of identifying emerging young athletes and offering them a unique motivational and educational experience. The Zone Select Camps are viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the local and Zone level onto the national scene. Amy was selected because of her fine performances with the Starfish.
